Open S.E.C. is a web service datafeed for fundamental financial data from income statements, balance sheets, and statements of cash flows as reported to the Securities and Exchange forms 10-K (annnual report) and 10-Q (quarterly). We use logical/syntactic parsing algorithms to retrieve and build databases of financial statements from publicly available source documents. We provide a raw public datafeed which is free and open to use for all purposes, including but not limited to quantitative financial modeling and trading, risk management, programming and development of financial applications, industry research, fundamental equity analysis, and academic research. Currently, Open S.E.C. covers public companies listed on the NASDAQ, NYSE, and AMEX stock market exchanges. Our open datafeed serves a database updated daily upon market close. Open S.E.C. was built out of a commitment to transparency in global capital markets. We believe accessibility and free flow of information are key components to technological progress and an increasingly competitive economy. You will find all the information in our Support and API sections needed to connect to Open S.E.C. and start building your own applications. |
